Happy Monday!!!
It is Sunday evening and you just completed a fun-filled weekend or even a relaxing weekend with family and friends. However, the "Sunday Scaries" start to kick in! What are "Sunday Scaries? Sunday Scaries is a feeling of dread or anxiety that people experience on Sundays as the weekend comes to an end and the workweek begins.
Truth is, I used to dread Mondays. The thought of Mondays used to cause me to go into a mild depression. However, after shifting focus, I grew to love Mondays.
Funny story: I was actually born on a Monday. Hahahahaha...
I now love Mondays for so many reasons.
After reading our blog, my hope is that you will finally enjoy Mondays as well!
Monday is a great day to kickstart health-conscious habits. Here’s why:
1. Fresh Start Mentality: Many people view Monday as a “clean slate,” which can increase motivation to adopt healthy habits, from eating well to exercising.
2. Setting Weekly Goals: Setting goals on Monday can help establish a clear focus for the week, making it easier to follow through with healthy actions like meal prepping or planning workouts.
3. Improved Consistency: Starting healthy habits on Monday increases the likelihood of sticking with them through the week, as small, consistent actions are easier to maintain than sporadic efforts.
4. Higher Motivation: Research suggests people feel more motivated to pursue health-related goals on Mondays. This boost can lead to better decision-making around food, sleep, and exercise.
5. Supports a Routine: Making Monday the day you focus on health builds a routine, which helps turn healthy habits into lasting lifestyle changes.
6. Social Support: Many others start new goals on Monday, so it’s easier to find a support group or partner who’s also working toward similar goals.
Starting healthy habits on Monday can set a positive tone for the week, helping you create and maintain a wellness-focused lifestyle.
